Yellow Class - Glastonbury Rural Life Museum
Welcome back to Yellow Class!
We have started our new term with a visit to Glastonbury Rural Life Museum. After a fun coach journey we arrived and were met by our guide for the day – Nick. Nick told us all about the museum and the fun activities we would be completing.
We split into 3 groups. The first group went on a material hunt through the museum, the second group made wool magnets and the third group played a game of ‘Guess the item’. Afterwards we swapped and ensured each child took part in every activity.
We all ate lunch together and then we managed to dodge the rain and go outside for a quick play. Next, we were free to wander around the museum and the outside buildings. We loved learning all about farming in the old days and we got a chance to dress up as farmers.
Finally, we said our goodbyes to Nick and headed home. We all had a great day and Nick told the children that they were a credit to the school!
